Launching an international tournament manager

When starting with Smashify we discussed what platforms could help the racket sport community the most. We quickly landed on helping international tournaments with their player registration. Out of our own experience we know how though it is to organise these kinds of tournaments.

Not only do you have to arrange all the logistics and keep all your stakeholders informed. You have to accept and manage all your players registrations/bookings/requests. All this can pile up and create an enourmous workload for an organiser. With sometimes resulting in players waiting for urgent answers and or documents.

So when started brainstorming our idea we wanted our software to have the following characteristics.

Collaboration: Organising an international tournament is not a one-man-show. So we wanted our system to be focused on multiple users working on the same tournament. While making sure no data can be wrongfully edited or deleted.
Flexibility: Every tournament is a little different from another event. So we want to give the organisers the opportunity to really have controlle over their registrations processes and who they allow into their tournament and what services they provide to their players.
Administration: We want to automate as mutch of the administration process as possible. With the highest priority being automatic invoicing.
